You are not alone in your quest for resources in Travian Kingdoms. Robbers regularly establish hideouts close to your villages.
Robber Hideouts and Robber Camps are two different features:
Robber Hideouts are personal and only visible to you
Robber Camps are shared challenges for the entire kingdom
This article covers Robber Hideouts only.
Robber Hideouts are only visible to you and cannot be seen by other players.

Only Governors and Dukes receive Robber Hideouts.
Kings and Vice-Kings do not get any Robber Hideouts.
Note:
In contrast to Robber Hideouts, there are also Robber Camps. Robber Camps are shared challenges for your kingdom and require multiple players to defeat.
Robber Hideouts appear near the capital village.
If the capital is changed before hideouts appear, they will spawn near the new capital.
After relocating your capital, existing hideouts are removed and will later reappear near the new village position.
If a capital village is destroyed, hideouts may appear once at the old location.
After they are defeated, future hideouts will appear near the new capital.
To fully clear a Robber Hideout, you must:
Defeat all defending troops
Plunder all available resources
Robber Hideouts contain resources and stolen goods, which you receive when clearing them.
If the robbers have already prepared an attack on your village, the attack is canceled only after the hideout has been fully cleared by defeating all troops and plundering all resources.
Once all troops are defeated and all resources are collected, the hideout disappears. A new one will appear after some time.
If a hideout is ignored for too long, the robbers will become aggressive and send an attack on your village.
You can siege Robber Hideouts to reduce troop losses.
At the start of a game world, Robber Hideouts appear more frequently, but are relatively small in size. As the game world progresses, their size increases while their appearance becomes less frequent.
Their strength and rewards also scale with your account progress, including:
Your offensive strength
Your resource production
Your population size
The Horn of Natars attack bonus works against Robber Hideouts
Robber Hideouts spawn at half the normal rate for Dukes
During the first 12 Robber Hideouts, spawn times are shorter and depend on how many hideouts have already appeared. The spawn timer starts once the previous Robber Hideout has been fully cleared and disappeared.
The first 4 hideouts always have the same spawn time. Starting with hideout 5, the time until the next hideout appears becomes longer. After the first 12 hideouts, spawn times continue to increase as the game progresses.
