Every game world in Travian Kingdoms tells its own story. Different strategies, diplomacy, and rivalries shape every round. As the game world progresses, new mechanics and challenges become available, giving players new opportunities throughout their journey.
Understanding what to expect helps you plan ahead and see how your actions contribute to your kingdom's success.
After joining a game world, you'll choose your tribe and your player name.
You'll then complete the tutorial—or skip it if you're already familiar with the basics. At the end of the tutorial, you'll decide whether to continue as a Governor or found your own kingdom as a King. If you're new to Travian Kingdoms, continuing as a Governor is usually the better choice, as joining an established kingdom allows experienced players to help you get started.
The first days are all about building a strong foundation.
You'll expand your first village, complete quests, train your first troops, develop your Hero, and begin clearing Robber Hideouts. At the same time, you should start looking for a kingdom that fits your goals and playstyle.
Joining a kingdom early is especially important. If you join before founding your second village and while you are still under beginner's protection, you may be able to relocate closer to your kingdom. This can make cooperation, defense, and future expansion much easier.
As your account grows, you gain more options and responsibilities.
You'll found additional villages, improve your economy, train larger armies, and decide which role you want to focus on. Some players build offensive armies, others specialize in defense, while others focus on economy, support, or leadership.
New opportunities also become more important during this stage, including cities, conquest, treasures, and larger kingdom conflicts. While every player develops differently, teamwork becomes increasingly important as kingdoms compete for territory, treasures, and influence.
Later in the game world, the Endgame begins. From this point on, Wonder of the World villages can be conquered.
Kingdoms compete to take control of these villages, build their Wonder of the World, defend it against enemy attacks, and slow down rival Wonders of the World. Victory Points remain important throughout this phase and determine the winning kingdom when the game world ends.
The game world ends when a Wonder of the World reaches level 100.
Every game world develops in its own way. Whether your focus is building a strong economy, commanding powerful armies, defending your kingdom, or supporting other members, your decisions shape your journey and contribute to your kingdom's success.
