Game versions, Speed and Specials

The classic game runs at x1 speed and follows the standard mechanics described in other articles within this knowledge base.

However, several alternative gameworld types offer different experiences. These are summarized below.

Looking for a specific game world? Check the Game World Calendar on the Blog.

Gameworld speeds

Speed worlds offer faster gameplay for those who have less time or prefer more action. They run at x2, x3, or x5 speed, accelerating troop and merchant movement, building construction, research, and overall progression.

Here is a comparison of the different speed settings:

Night protection

In night-protection worlds, no attacks, raids, or sieges can occur between midnight and 08:00 UTC.

  • Players cannot start an attack during the night, even if it would arrive after the protection ends.
  • Attacks that would land during the protection period are also blocked, even if started earlier.

These worlds are available at x1, x2, x3, and even x5 speed (e.g., during Halloween scenarios).

Special scenarios

Looking for unique gameworlds with special mechanics or seasonal events? These gameworlds offer a variety of twists and challenges:

Kingdoms Dynasty: Starts in February with x2 speed. Requires 1,000 Prestige to join. Includes x1.5 troop speed, increased storage, and no vacation mode. Sitters and duals must also meet the Prestige requirement. Exclusive rewards await victorious players.

BBash Anniversary: Held in May with two x3 international worlds, featuring fireworks for rewards, night protection, and special challenges both solo and in teams.

HAHU Halloween Hunt: Starts in early October. Two international x5 speed worlds (one with night protection) featuring spooky content and community goals with collective rewards.

Mayhem World: Usually begins mid-December. Includes major balance changes for unusual strategies and experimental gameplay styles.

Test world

The test world, usually at x5 speed, is used to trial new features before they go live in regular gameworlds.

It can open irregularly and may close in rare cases without warning, even before the game round ends. Players receive a Gold starting bonus, and discounted packs are available. Note that Gold purchased on the test world can only be used on other test worlds.
