Culture points (CP)
CP are a limitation that restricts the number of villages you can settle or conquer. They are required to unlock expansion slots.
The number of CP needed for each village depends on the gameworld speed.
At the beginning of the game, each player receives a certain number of CP, depending on the gameworld speed and game version.
CP are not consumable. Their total amount can only increase, and you cannot lose any CP you have already earned.
Settling or Conquering a Village
To settle a new village, you must have enough CP for the next village both when you send the settlers and when they arrive at their destination.
To conquer a village, you must reduce its loyalty using administrators. You also need to have enough CP at the time of the battle.
Note:
You do not need CP to train settlers or administrators. CP are only required when you actually use them to settle or conquer a village.
Understanding the Culture Points Tab – Example
You can check your current number of CP and your daily CP production in the Palace or Residence.
This example describes a player’s current CP situation:
- The player has two villages and no city.
- Currently he has 3098 CP.
- The CP production is:
- 162 CP/day from the active village
- 60 CP/day from other villages
→ 222 CP/day in total
- There is no CP production bonus from the hero.
- To settle or conquer a third village, he need 5000 CP.
- At the current rate, he will reach this goal in approximately 9 days.
This example helps illustrate how CP production and requirements interact in practice.
How to get more CP?
Increase Culture Points production
- Buildings: Most buildings generate CP over time. The more buildings you have, and the higher their levels, the more CP they produce.
- Hero Equipment: Certain helmets increase CP production while equipped:
- Helmet of the Gladiator
- Helmet of the Tribune
- Helmet of the Consul
- Cities:
- If your capital is a city, it generates an additional 500 CP per day.
- Each non-capital city provides an additional 200 CP per day.
Additional Culture Points sources
- Artwork:
Can be found during adventures or purchased in the auction house. Using artwork grants additional CP. - Town Hall Celebrations:
- A small celebration grants up to 500 CP.
- A great celebration grants up to 2000 CP, depending on your total daily CP production.
