At the beginning of the game, players' first villages appear in the central area of a circular map.
This settlement area is surrounded by dense, impenetrable forests that players cannot interact with.
The image below shows a section of these forests located in the northern part of the map:
As time passes, new players join the game, and the first arrivals establish villages on the available sites.
Gradually, the settlement area fills up.
If the game world hosts a large number of active players, the available locations may become insufficient for an optimal gaming experience.
To prevent this, Travian Kingdoms dynamically expands the map whenever a certain percentage of all settle-able tiles are occupied.
When this threshold is reached, the forest edge recedes, and the settlement area extends by 10 tiles in each direction.
