Crop Management

Why is crop so important?

Resources are essential to construct buildings, train troops and activate special building features. Among them, crop has a unique role because it is required to feed both your population and your army.

Without enough crop, your empire cannot function properly.

How crop is used

Each additional building level increases your population, and both population and troops consume crop continuously. As your empire grows, your crop consumption increases. Maintaining a stable and sufficient crop production is therefore critical.

Crop is stored in the Granary. If the Granary is full, you lose excess crop. If it is empty, your troops begin to starve.

How to increase your crop supply

There are several ways to improve your crop income:

  • Upgrade your crop fields and benefit from the bonuses provided by the Grain Mill and the Bakery. You can also increase your production by assing oases that provide crop bonuses.
  • Raid robbers or other players to loot their resources, including crop.
  • Redeem stolen goods in villages that are located within your own kingdom's borders.
  • Use your hero’s production skill to generate additional crop.
  • Activate the crop production boost, a premium feature that increases production by 25% for a limited time.
  • Redeem crop chests from the card game, which can be used once per day for an instant crop reward.

What happens when you run out of Crop?

If your crop supply falls below what is needed to support your troops, starvation begins. Your units die gradually until your crop consumption is balanced with your production and storage.

This means your crop stock directly limits the maximum size of your army. Without crop, no units can be maintained.

Strategies to avoid starvation

If your crop production is not enough to feed all your units, there are several options:

  • Request crop deliveries from other villages or players. Make sure your Granary does not reach zero.
  • Temporarily station troops in another village. Troops consume the crop of the village where they are located.
  • Keep only the troops you really need. Idle units still consume crop.

Pro tip

Before starting major campaigns or expanding your army, check your crop production, Granary capacity and potential boosts. Good planning helps you avoid sudden troop losses caused by starvation.
