Oases: Overview

Item Selection

On the world map of Travian Kingdoms, you’ll find special locations marked with resource icons. These are oases, and they can provide valuable resource production bonuses to your villages.

Key facts

  • Oases are initially wild and inhabited by animals.
  • You can only see oases after building your first embassy.
  • Once revealed, they stay visible for the rest of the round, even if all embassies are lost.
  • Clearing the oasis allows it to be annexed later on.
  • Resource bonuses depend on the type of oasis and your influence over it.

Oasis types

Oases grant bonuses based on the terrain they’re located in. They always provide at least one 25% bonus, and some offer additional crop bonuses:

  • 25% bonus for wood, clay, or iron
  • 25% bonus for one resource + 25% crop
  • 50% crop bonus

You can identify oasis types via icons on the map:

  • Single resource (wood, clay, or iron):
  • Resource  (wood, clay, or iron) + crop:
  • Double crop (50%):

Wild oases

At the start of a game world (and whenever an occupied oasis is left alone for over 3 hours), it turns wild and begins spawning animals. The spawn rate depends on activity in the nearby 7x7 area.

  • Animals can be defeated in combat or captured with cages.
  • Attacking wild oases gives you a small amount of resources.
  • Each animal inside an oasis produces 1 resource/hour and increases storage of the oasis by 50.

Example: An oasis with 100 animals and a 25% wood + 25% crop bonus will generate 100 wood and 100 crop per hour, until the storage capacity of 5,000 is reached for each resource.

Note: Wild oases do not generate kingdom reports or show incoming attacks, even inside your borders.
