Oases: How to annex and control

How to annex an oasis

To annex an oasis and get its resource bonus, the following conditions must be met:

  • The oasis must be cleared of all animals.
  • It must be within a 7x7 area around your village.
  • Your embassy must have a free slot for annexation.

You can check your embassy to see whether an oasis is within range and can be annexed.

After annexation, the oasis contributes resource bonuses based on its type and your influence over it.

Influence and resource bonuses

Your influence determines how much of the oasis bonus you receive. Influence depends on:

  • Nearby villages
  • Stationed troops
  • Kingdom territory

Note: All of a player's villages within the 7x7 area around the oasis exert influence, not just the village that annexed the oasis.

Check your embassy to see:

  • Which oases are in range
  • Their influence ranking
  • Your exact resource bonus

Boosting production with stationed troops

  • Troops stationed in an annexed oasis inside your kingdom contribute to resource production.
  • Up to 250 troops can provide a bonus.
  • The number of contributing troops scales with your influence level.
  • Troops in oases outside your kingdom do not generate resources.

Conquering oases from other players

To take control of an oasis annexed by another kingdom:

  • The oasis must be next to your kingdom borders.
  • All enemy troops must be defeated.
  • The kingdom that lands the final successful attack takes ownership.

Special conditions

Embassy destruction

  • If an embassy is destroyed, all its annexed oases become unassigned.
  • If partially destroyed, oasis slots are reduced and oases are lost accordingly.

Vacation mode

  • All oases are automatically unassigned.
  • Troops return home.
  • No reassignment is possible during vacation mode.
  • After returning, you can reassign oases if conditions are met.

Abdication

  • When a king abdicates, all oases remain occupied but are reassigned to the kingdom with the most territorial influence.
  • If a duke takes over, assignments are recalculated.
  • Influence and troop contributions may change as a result.
