Healing Tent

Wounded infantry and cavalry can be healed in the Healing Tent. Upgrading it reduces healing time and increases capacity. Multiple Healing Tents can be built in the same village.

Requirements: Main Building Level 10, Academy Level 15

Note:

For detailed costs, bonuses, and requirements of all buildings and resource fields, you can use this statistics tool.

How troops become wounded

If a Healing Tent exists in the connected village, 40% of eligible defeated troops become wounded in battles, raids, sieges, reinforcements, or scouting.

Wounded troops return as a separate movement to the connected village. Their speed is unaffected by hero equipment but scales with world speed.

Only units trained in a (Great) Barracks or (Great) Stable can be wounded.

The following cannot be wounded: Hero, Rams, Catapults, Settlers, Chieftains, Animals, released trapped troops, or troops not yet researched in the Academy.

Healing troops

Healing wounded units costs 50% of their original training cost. Healing times are identical to those of a Barracks or Stable at the level of your highest Healing Tent.

All Healing Tents in a village share a single healing queue.

At level 20, the Healing Tent’s times match those of a level 20 Barracks or Stable.

When you have enough resources to heal all stored wounded troops, the “Heal all” button becomes available. Clicking it instantly adds every stored wounded unit to the queue, saving you from adding them manually.

What affects healing time

Healing time depends on:

  • The level of your highest Healing Tent
  • Hero helmets (infantry/cavalry)
  • Game world speed
  • The Roman building “Horse Drinking Trough”

Healing speed is not affected by the vacation boost, and having multiple Healing Tents does not shorten healing time.

Crop consumption

  • Troops being healed don’t consume crop
  • Stored or returning wounded troops consume crop at 50% reduced rate and can starve
  • Roman “Horse Drinking Trough” further reduces consumption

Healing status in the village

Clicking any Healing Tent opens the shared healing queue. You can also open the highest-level Healing Tent through a shortcut button in the top-left corner.

The button shows:

  • Gray: No Healing Tent built
  • White: Built, no troops healing
  • Green: Healing in progress

Hovering over the green icon displays healing progress details.

Capacity

Stored and healing troops occupy capacity. When the tent is full, any extra wounded troops are lost.

Upgrading the Healing Tent increases capacity. Once a Healing Tent reaches level 20, you can build another to expand capacity further. Travian Plus adds +25% capacity.

If capacity decreases (for example, due to catapult damage), excess stored troops are removed first until the new limit is met.

If all Healing Tents are destroyed or the village is conquered, all stored and healing troops are lost without refund.

Here you can find the table showing the capacity per level.
