Infrastructure

Buildings bring you population and various benefits (resources, unit training and strength, culture points...) and are at the heart of your village's development.


To build a new structure, click on a free location in the village and choose the building from the list.

To upgrade an existing building, click on it in the village.

Some buildings require particular requirements to be met before they can be built. This is specified by the game, along with the resource cost and duration, at the start of construction.


Below is a list of buildings available in Travian Kingdoms.

The appearance may vary depending on the tribe and the level of the building.


According to their purpose, buildings can be categorized into 4 groups : Infrastructure, Military, Resources, Spécific and Fortification.


Click on the desired category to show the corresponding buildings.

(The resource cost refers to level 1).


Infrastructure
Warehouse
The resources wood, clay and iron are stored in your Warehouse. 

By increasing its level you increase your Warehouse's capacity. 


After building one Warehouse level 20, additional Warehouses can be built.

Granary
Crop produced by your Croplands is stored in the Granary.
By increasing its level, you increase the Granary's capacity.  


After building up one Granary to level 20, additional Granaries can be built.

Main Building
Home of your builders. The higher its level, the faster your builders will complete a construction (up to 50% of the building time).

Allows you to upgrade your village into a city.

Market Place
At the Marketplace you can trade resources with other players.

The higher its level, the more resources can be transported at the same time.

Embassy
The Embassy is the place for diplomatic relations. Here you can view the information about the Kingdom and Secret Society you are in or you can found a new one.

Shows Oases within reach of your village and allows you to choose an oasis to use for each open slot you have (max. 3).

Cranny
The Cranny holds and protects resources from attack.  
Each level of the Cranny holds up to 1,000 units of each resource at level 10. 

After upgrading one Cranny to level 10, additional Crannies can be built.

Gaul Crannies are 2 times as big as normal.

Town Hall
You can hold celebrations here to increases your culture points.
The higher its level, the shorter the celebration will last.

A great celebration provides more CP and increases the lowering of the target village's loyalty by up to 5%

Residence
The Residence protects the village against conquest by generating loyalty. You can only have a Résidence OR a Palace in a village.

A Residence can train three settlers or one chief/chieftain/senator (depending on your tribe) at level 10 and 20 for settling or conquering new villages.

The Palace protects the village against conquest by generating loyalty. You can only have a Résidence OR a Palace in a village.

A Palace can train three settlers or one chief/chieftain/senator (depending on your tribe) at level 10, 15 and 20 for settling or conquering new villages. Allows you to proclaim village to be the capital.

Treasury
The riches of your empire are kept in the Treasury.

Active treasury (King or Duke) generates influence and victory points.

Hidden treasury do not generate influence and are not visible to your enemies.

Trade Office
Trade Office impoved the merchants' carts. The higher its level the more your merchants are able to carry.

With each level, merchants will be able to carry 10% more resources. 

(20% more for Roman Trade Office.)

Stonemason's Lodge
The Stonemason's Lodge accomodates experts at cutting stones.
With every level, the stability of buildings and the wall in the village increases by 10%.
The Stonemason's Lodge can only be built in the capital.

Barracks
Infantry can be trained in the Barracks.
The higher its level the faster the troops are trained.

If you want to build more advanced troops than the first troops, you'll need to research them using the Academy.

Smithy
The weapons and armor of your warriors are enhanced in the Smithy's melting furnaces. By increasing its level, you can order the fabrication of even better weapons and armor.

An upgrade counts for all units of that type associated with the village.

Academy
In the Academy new unit types can be developed.
By increasing its level you can order the research of better units.
Once a unit type is researched in a village it remains researched, even if the Academy has been demolished.

Rally Point
Required to send troops to conquer, attack, raid or reinforce other villages.
Can only be built on the curved area just below your main building.
By increasing its level you can choose more targets for the catapults. At level 20 and with at least 20 catapults, you can choose 2 targets.

Tournament Square
The Tournament Square improves your troops' stamina.
The more the building is improved, the faster your troops move over longer distances (the effect occurs after a distance of 20 squares).

The effect only applies to troops trained in the village.

The Great Barracks allows you to build a second Barracks in the same village, but the troops cost three times the original amount.
Combined with the regular Barracks, you can train your troops twice as fast in one village.

Sawmill
This is where the wood delivered by your woodcutters is cut.
Depending on its level, your Sawmill can increase your wood production by up to 25%.
The percentage added to your production is based on the gross output of your Lumberjacks, without any bonuses.

Trapper
Tribe-specific : Gauls only.
The Trapper protects your village with well hidden traps.
Troops imprisoned in traps eat crop from the village they originally belong to. 

One Trapper can give you a maximum of 400 traps.

Horse Drinking Trough
Tribe-specific : Romans only.
Decreases the training time and the upkeep of cavalry. It can also be built in Roman Wonder of the World villages.
Speeds up the training time of cavalry units by 1% per level and lowers the crop consumption of some units depending on its level.

Brewery

Drinks make your soldiers braver and stronger when attacking others (1% per level). Unfortunately, the persuasive power of leaders is reduced by 50% and catapults can only make random hits.

This wonderful edifice marks the end of the game world when built up to level 100.

Water Ditch
The Water Ditch can only be built in cities.
