In Travian Kingdoms, there are several situations where conquering a village is not possible. Below is a comprehensive list of all such scenarios along with their explanations:
Village Status and Restrictions
- It is the defender’s only village: The last village of a player cannot be conquered.
- It is the main village (capital): The capital village cannot be conquered under any circumstances.
- There is a World Wonder in the village: A village containing a World Wonder cannot be conquered until the Wonder has been destroyed.
- There is a Residence or Palace in the village: A village with an active Residence or Palace must have the building destroyed before it can be conquered.
Culture Points and Expansion Slots
- The attacker does not have enough culture points: The attacker needs sufficient culture points to found or conquer a village.
- The attacker does not have enough expansion slots: Conquering a city requires two expansion slots, and both must be available.
Raid instead of normal attack
- Troops raided the village: Loyalty cannot be reduced during a raid. Only normal attacks by a senator/chief can lower loyalty.
Kingdom and Diplomacy Rules
- Attacker and defender are in the same kingdom: Villages from players in the same kingdom cannot be conquered.
- Defender is in a confederated kingdom: You cannot conquer villages from allied kingdoms.
- A confederation was canceled within the last 2 days: If both kingdoms were part of a confederation that ended within the last 48 hours, villages still cannot be conquered.
- The attacker or defender was in the same kingdom recently: If either player left the other’s kingdom within the last 3 days, conquest is temporarily disabled.
- The attacker or defender was in a confederated kingdom recently: Conquest is not allowed if there was a confederation relationship between the kingdoms (or their allies) that ended within the last 3 days.
Protected Villages
- The village belongs to a foreign or independent governor in the attacker’s territory: Such villages are under temporary protection and cannot be conquered if they are inside the attacker's kingdom or were there in the last 3 days.
- The village was inside the attacker’s kingdom borders within the last 3 days: Protection rules still apply for a short duration even after a village leaves kingdom territory.
Sitter
- The attacker acted as a sitter for the defender in the last 7 days: If the attacker has recently used the sitter function for the defender, they are not allowed to conquer the defender's village to prevent abuse.
