What treasures are
Treasures are special items that represent the wealth and power of a kingdom. They are stored in active Treasuries and provide several benefits for the account and the kingdom as a whole.
Treasures are created mainly by selling stolen goods or by plundering other villages. Kings, vice kings, and dukes use them to expand the influence of the kingdom.
Active and inactive treasures
- Active treasures: stored in an active Treasury. They provide bonuses and count toward kingdom victory points.
- Inactive treasures: stored in a village without an active Treasury or when all Treasuries are full. Inactive treasures do not give any bonuses until moved into an active Treasury.
If a village has more treasures than its Treasury can hold, the surplus is automatically moved to the nearest active Treasury village of the account. If no free Treasury space is available, they stay inactive until space is created.
Effects of active treasures
Each active treasure in a Treasury gives the following benefits:
- +1 crop production per hour in the Treasury village
- +1 victory point per day for the kingdom
- Increased influence pressure around the Treasury village
These effects stop immediately if the treasure becomes inactive.
Stealing treasures
Treasures can be stolen by attacking villages with a normal attack or a siege, and the hero must be sent along. There are three main cases:
- From a governor’s or duke’s tribute fund
- If you attack a governor’s or duke’s village, all treasures stored in their tribute chest are stolen in one attack.
- From an active Treasury of a king, vice king, or duke
- If you attack a village with an active Treasury, up to 33% of the stored treasures are stolen.
- This happens whether or not the Treasury is destroyed in the attack.
- From a village without an active Treasury (king, vice king, or duke)
- If a village holds inactive treasures but all Treasuries of the account have been destroyed, then all treasures in that village can be stolen in a single attack.
Automatic transfer
Treasures move automatically within an account whenever needed:
- If a village without an active Treasury holds treasures, they are transferred to the nearest active Treasury.
- If a Treasury becomes full, surplus treasures are sent to other active Treasuries with space.
- If a Treasury is destroyed, its treasures are instantly moved to other Treasuries in the account.
- When treasures are stolen, it can take up to two minutes for inactive treasures from other villages to refill the attacked Treasury.
Transfers happen instantly (except in the refill case after theft). This means treasures are always secured in the best possible Treasury.
Practical notes
- Only treasures stored in active Treasuries provide bonuses and victory points.
- Destroying an enemy Treasury does not automatically give you more treasures – you still need to send your hero in an attack to steal them.
- If your kingdom loses a large number of treasures, its crop bonus and influence can drop significantly.
